MEET THE ARTIST
Julia Hiller
Vita
Julia Hiller (b. 1999) is a contemporary artist who explores everyday life through still lifes in her acrylic paintings. She lives and works in northern Germany. She began her artistic career in 2025 with her first group exhibition in Hamburg.
However, her artistic roots run deeper: visits to local artists' studios during her childhood shaped her artistic practice from an early age.
While her early works were influenced by the bold energy of Pop Art and floral portraits, her focus has shifted towards quiet, precise observation.
In her current collection "The Breakfast Club", she explores breakfast scenes as an authentic reflection of a place's culture, setting them apart from tourist-oriented staging. Drawing inspiration from her travels, she brings local identities to life through her art: minimalist, honest and approachable.
Rather than seeking quick visual appeal, Julia now aims to invite viewers to pause and discover beauty in the seemingly mundane. By doing so, she joins a young generation of artists who strive for sincerity and substance rather than fleeting trends, placing the everyday within a timeless context.
